What do perforated strips have to do with code?

The D4a marks the transition from mechanical to electronic calculation machines. It is considered the forerunner of today‘s PC. Programs were written in code on punched tape. Have a go and experiment with this principle! Punch a hole in your strip and then have it read out. You can choose between mathematical calculation, drum machine or pixel graphics.
